Apple has released some phenomenal Mac computers, featuring the M1 and M2 processors. They have a great comparison page where I have listed my 3 favorites. The MacBook Air is probably the best choice for most people. It has phenomenal battery life (up to 15 hours!) and a very fast M2 processor, which blows Intel out of the water for laptops in CPU ‘power’ vs energy usage (watts.)
If you do video or need more processing power, I’d suggest the MacBook Pro, with the M1 Max CPU. This is a great portable set up for manipulating photos, video or if you code. I have the 14 in version which is only slightly heavier than the Air and sports a better screen and audio system.
Lastly, if you need maxium power, again for video editing or coding, you should spring for the Mac Studio, with either the M1 Max or the super fast M1 Ultra chip.
